Kristy started her training in medicine at the unique age of 11. Her mother was becoming an EMT and she could both read and was home, making the perfect study partner.

During her dance training she underwent injuries and maladies such as a dislocated hip, dislocated toe, tibial torsion, an extra 1/2" on the same tibia, tarsal tunnel, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, as well as a major injury that sprained the left side of her body and created chronic misalignment in the cervical vertebrae.

These experience led to pursuing an understanding of the body for injury prevention and recovery.

Kristy studied Dance at Brigham Young University for 8+ years, Massage Therapy at Utah College of Massage Therapy, Structural Integration with Nicolle Buchanan, Private mentoring for 6 years with Jeanne Buchurt, and privately studied nutrition from 2001-2019 and toxicology from 2011-2019. In preparation for her 3rd child she began the study of unmedicated home birth and has passionately been combining all of these topics together since.

Let's be real, Kristy is honest, direct, and she has a geeky passion for reading and studying. The more she knows the more she feels she wants to know, for the the tindy cell of the body is in itself a universe of study.

Random fact- Kristy died when she was an infant, at 18 months of age, when she drowned in a bathtub. Yes, she remembers heaven. No, she doesn't talk about it in detail except at appropriate times.

Brian

Brian had a background in dance and athletics before pursuing massage therapy. His experience as a dance teacher at Hillcrest High School, the elementary social dance program, Timpview, and workshops, has influenced the way he sees bodies and his approach toward bodywork. For real, he works miracles in seeing an imbalance and figuring out how to help the client recreate it in their movement and structure through bodywork and kinesomatic programming.

As an integrative bodyworker, Brian has worked in a variety of settings, from training rooms for the UVU collegiate athletic program, physical therapy and chiropractic offices, gyms, luxury spas, as well as in-home visits.

He and his wife are the co-owners of DanceCore, a holistic wellness company that was founded to work with dancers and athletes.

Brian studied a minor in Psychology and a major in Dance at Brigham Young University, Massage Therapy at Utah College of Massage Therapy, private mentorships with Kristy in Structural Integration and other modalities with Jeanne Buchert. He also had a work-study with UVU in the training room.

Random fact -  when Brian was 17 he was hit by lightning while atop Table Rock in Idaho. No, he hasn't been back in 20 years, and no, I prefer he not be out under lightning storms.
